WARNING!!! This short story was written out of boredom and curiosity. Seeing as how we don't know very much about BH and Pein at the moment, I'm just gonna…write off the top of my head! So this fic takes place before the formation of the Akatsuki.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pein, the Blue-haired female Akatsuki or the Naruto series. I only own this story.
White was a color of purity. It was a color of death and rebirth and good fortune. In her mind, she wasn't very pure or lucky. She may have believed in the death thing, seeing as how she was a kunoichi, but she wasn't one to believe in rebirth and reincarnation. So she simply had to ask him:
"Why did you get me this?"
And he gave a small smile. "Because it reminded me of you."
"And how is that?" She simply couldn't see the similarity between her and a useless flower.
"The same way that this flower stuck out among the weeds and thorns I found it among, you stick out among all other women."
A light pink blush appeared on her skin as she glared at him. "Are you insulting me?" Her blush increased as he chuckled softly underneath his breath and that smile remained on his face. Years later, she would come to miss it
"You…are like this beautiful white flower. A thing of beauty that sticks out in a place as grim as this."
She remained silent and took the flower from the palm of his calloused hand. She placed in her hair, tucking the stem carefully behind her ear. Her eyes stared at him, expecting an answer.
"You look lovely. Think of that flower as…a good luck charm! It will allow you to grant swift deaths to your enemy, good luck and fortune, and a happy life when you are reborn." He stared with a smile on his face.
"Thanks, but I told you I don't believe in rebirth. Not until I have some proof" 'But if it is true…I wouldn't mind being reborn, so long as I now you'll be in the next life with me.'
This story was originally supposed to be a drabble. But it wound up getting longer than I wanted it to, so…yeah. It's a very short story now. Either way, I hope you enjoy it and remember to review!
