Author's Note: Takes place before Ray becomes a graveling. In this fic Mason doesn't kill him. If he can't have her than nobody can, or at least he thinks.
He walks into the house like he owned it, looking for his Daisy. The first time that he had seen her in the bar was the day that he knew that he had to have her. She was stunning. After he was done with her he was going to dump her because that's how he worked. He was a user and he didn't mind one bit.
He watched as George came home in her convertible. He knew that George didn't like him and neither did Mason and Rube for that matter. He didn't care who liked him, or didn't. She was dressed in a long coat. It was getting chilly outside. The leaves were starting to fall and the one's that were on the ground were chasing each other like little children playing tag. He was waiting for Daisy to come back down.
The door opened and George walked in looking at him like she wanted to hit him.
"How was your day?" He asked making idle chitchat.
"It was good." She said as she moved into the kitchen.
She stood there at the counter wondering how she would tell him what she knew she had to do.
"Ray, I need to talk to you."
"What is it?"
"I have to break up with you."
"Break up with me?" His voice getting louder. "Look people don't break up with me, I break up with them." He said as he grabbed Daisy by the hands.
"Break up with me then."
"I am not breaking up with you. I will break up with you when I'm good and ready." He shouted at her.
"Ray, you're hurting me."
"Hurting you? I'm going to do more than hurt you." He said as he dragged her nearer to the knives. He grabbed the largest one and plunged it into her.
Georgia arrived downstairs as the knife went in. She stood in shock. Not because the knife, but because Ray had stabbed her. She knew that Daisy wouldn't get hurt, or die, but that Ray would discover their secret.
"Get out." Replied Mason who had arrived as George was standing there in shock.
Daisy stood there for a minute in shock as the knife was sticking out of her and quickly recovered as she grabbed the handle and pulled it out.
Suddenly it was Ray's turn to stand there shocked as he watched Daisy pull out the knife and she wasn't hurt.
"What are you a freak?"
"She is not a freak, you are. Now get out." Replied Georgia as she recovered.
"Are you all like her?" He questioned. Not expecting an answer "You're all a bunch of freaks." He said as he took off.
"Are you okay, Daisy?" Said Mason as he walked over.
Daisy looked up with tears streaming down her face. "No, no I'm not."
"You didn't deserve him, Daisy. You deserve more. You are loved, you know that." Mason said as he gathered her into his arms.
