"I don't like pink."
"Yes, you do."
"No. I hate it. Take it off."
I finished fixing her hair. For a child, she was very stubborn. Dressing her was hard enough, but her hair was another problem. If I said something looked nice, she hated it. Toddlers can be rather fickle, I suppose.
"Would you like me to play you something on the piano before you leave?" Maybe a minuet would calm her down.
She scowled again. "No. I hate the piano. I have to go to preschool."
I lifted her off the bathroom sink. "Alright. Time for school, Helga."
Blame my older sister. She's such an unwilling inspiration.
