It was that day. They'd been preparing all week for this day. She had promised to bring what they needed, and he promised to be ready.

Hilary went straight to his house after school, and was greeted by the old doorman, who just smiled and led her to "Master Kai's" room.

When she walked in, he was lying on the bed, hands behind his head, looking at her expectantly.

"Did you bring it?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure," she said, as she got closer to the bed.

"You're pretty sure? Well, check," he told her, his voice a bit panicky.

He watched with anticipation as she rummaged frantically through her bag, trying to find the thing they needed to continue.

"I can't find it Kai!"

"What? Oh man, does that mean we can't do it, once again, because you forgot what we needed most?"

"Don't be like that! Since you're the boy, you should have brought one with you!"

"Yeah, but I'm not the one that asked to come over," he pointed out.

Hilary, face growing redder in anger by the second replied, "Well I'm sorry! I assumed that you'd also have one if I forgot it!"

"You shouldn't make such assumptions. It's not like I'm the one that plans these things," he pointed out once again.

"Ugh! You're impossible! Why do I ever bother?!"

"Because you can't resist my charming personality and dashing good looks?" he suggested in a joking, yet sarcastic tone.

"You've got to be kidding me," she rolled her eyes in his direction.

A moment of awkward 'not-knowing-what-to-say-next' silence passed between the two before Kai broke it.

"Well, what are we supposed to do now? Talk? I mean, we can't do what we wanted to, because you didn't bring what we needed."

Hilary sighed exasperatedly before yelling, "For the last time Kai! STOP HOUNDING ME! I'm sorry I forgot the damn exam study sheet again, ok?!"

AN: Hope you liked it! Haha, bet you didn't expect that to be what they needed! ;P
