Spirits in their own bodies. Or else this would be REALLY awkward.
Disclaimer: I am not a middle-aged Japanese man named Takahashi Kazuki, therefore, I must not own Yugioh.
"Stupid... freaking... key..." Yami Bakura grumbled. His arm was outstreatched, reaching for a key sitting on a table halfway across the room from him. His other arm was awkwardly handcuffed to the bed behind him.
"Chiksho!" He swore loudly as he again fell short of the key.
"Yami?" A voice called from the hallway. Yami Bakura breathed a sigh of relief.
"Yadonushi!" He called. "Finally! God, you're slow. Get in here, would you?!"
Ryou entered the room and stopped in surprise.
"...do I want to know why you're handcuffed to the bed?" Ryou asked.
"Don't just stand there!" Bakura said angrily, but blushing slightly. "Get the key!"
"The king of theives needs a key?" Ryou smirked.
"I don't know how to get out of these damned modern... cuff... things, okay!" Bakura growled, jangling the cuff.
Ryou strode across the room and plucked the key off the table.
"This key?" he asked teasingly.
"YES!" The thief king roared.
"What?!" Bakura sputtered.
"You heard me," Ryou said, holding the key out. Bakura swiped at it, but missed.
Bakura growled. The thief king of Kul Elna, ask nicely?! He glared defiantley at Ryou and said nothing.
"If that's what you want..." Ryou turned around.
"Wait!" Bakura said desperately. Ryou stopped. "Fine," he sighed. "Can I have the key?"
"I don't know. 'Can' you?"
Bakura's eye twitched. "May I have the key?" he said through gritted teeth.
"May you have the key, what?" Ryou asked.
"No key, then."
"I'm not saying it."
"Have fun being handcuffed," Ryou pocketed the key and walked out the door.
"Hmph," Bakura scoffed after he had gone. The thief king didn't need a key, anyway! He would get out of it himself. Bakura looked down at the complicated, foreign mechanism on his arm. And he looked at the door.
"Chiksho," he growled.
In the hallway, Ryou stood quietly outside the door, looking at his watch. Under his breath, he counted down.
"3... 2... 1..."
"YADONUSHI!" Bakura shouted.
"Yes?" Ryou called back.
A/N: Whoa, NO polarshipping! Not even in the disclaimer! That's a big deal for me, in case you didn't know.
Yes, there's a reason Bakura was playing with handcuffs, but I hate yaoi, so I'm not going to admit that I actually thought of it. But if you figure it out, you will see the tendershipping in this poor excuse for a fic.
