"And your friends name?" Alex asked.
Ashley Heaton turned around. "I just have his first name: Eric." Bobby then showed her a picture. "That's him. Don't tell me he's some kind of crook." She said worriedly.
Bobby disregarded her question entirely by asking a different one. "Tell me, how'd you end up at his place?"
"I met him at the gym." Ashley explained. "He invited me over for lunch. I don't normally…" She then left her sentence at that.
Bobby was too persistent to let it go. "Normally…? How about him?" He questioned.
Ashley sighed. "Even while I was at his place he was on his YFI PDA whatchamacallit getting and sending messages. Eric's a player." She said simply.
Bobby began his questioning in another route. "The watch… it just came off?"
Ashley was getting a little irritated having these detectives pry into her private life. "Damn bracelet got snagged. So I took it off."
Bobby decided to milk it for all it was worth. "You mean while you were caressing him intimately?" He asked persistently.
"Yes." Ashley told them. "You ask the weirdest questions." She said getting annoyed with his antics.
Alex smiled to herself. "You have no idea." She told Ashley.
When they finished questioning her they let themselves out of her apartment. They got back in the SUV and started their drive back to One Police Plaza. They sat in silence. Neither of them were worried, however. They both knew that the other was thinking about what Ashley had said.
They hit a red light and Bobby turned to Alex. "What did you mean when you said "You have no idea?""
"What do you mean, what do I mean? You are always asking the most obscure questions, Bobby." Alex laughed moving the car forward again.
"When? Name one time." Bobby said defiantly.
"How about the time you asked me what the mass of Jupiter was?"
"I was just looking it up on the computer, I just wondered if you knew."
"Or how about the time you asked me why people were singing about Jimmy cracking a corn if they didn't care?"
"I heard one of our witness' children singing it and it got stuck in my head."
"Or how about the time you asked me how much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?"
"Okay, okay, okay! I get it. Thanks, Eames." Bobby said flailing his arms.
"Just making my point." Alex smiled at him. They then hit another red light. She turned to him. "But, that's why I love you." She then leaned over and pecked him on the lips.
"I love you too." Bobby said as she pulled away.
They then continued their drive back to One Police Plaza.
