Akimichi Chouji would tell anyone that he thinks life is like sandwich, that is if anyone would listen to him without laughing or teasing him about his love of food. Just looking at his rather large size and relatively enormous appetite, it's only natural of him to relate life to food. But if people were able to think of food in the way he does, he is pretty sure that they would agree with him. Life really is like a sandwich, if only because both have boundaries, the two slices of bread that holds everything together. Everything that has happened, is happening, or ever can or will happen occurs within this space that is after birth but prior to death. No one, not even the most advanced of ninja, can get around the fact that in order to have a sandwich, two pieces of bread are required. Whatever else that is between the bread, however, is a personal decision, or maybe a pre-determined one. Chouji can't decide. But whatever is put in there, sometimes it doesn't taste very good.

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years (Abraham Lincoln)
