Tim didn't know why he felt the way he did about Roy Harper, but it was real nonetheless. He did know why he couldn't tell Roy – yet – but that didn't make his issues any easier to overcome.
For once, waiting for the right time actually paid off. One night, after they'd made love and were – for lack of a better word – cuddling, Roy turned to him, nuzzling at his neck. "I love you, you know," he murmured, and Tim's heart skipped a beat.
"I…I love you too, Roy," he said, and felt the strong, solid body behind him lose the tension he hadn't even noticed had been there.
"Yeah?" Roy asked, and Tim was startled to hear relief in his tone. Was it at all possible that Roy had been feeling the same things he had? He'd been terrified beyond the capability of rational thought at just contemplating opening up about his feelings to Roy, and Roy just…
Roy just accepted it as the way things were, just like he always did. Roy had accepted him, issues and problems and all.
And that was why Tim loved him.
