No one could have guessed how everything had turned out. Barbra Jean and Brock had finally gotten a divorce, and she moved away with Henry. Brock didn't like that he didn't get to see his son very often, but he knew it was for the best. Cheyenne and Van were finally settled in their new home, and Kyra had gone off to College. Jake was still at home, but he was getting into his teen years and he was hardly home anymore.

With their babies grown, Reba and Brock had a lot of free time. Some of which they had been recently getting together and talking. Normally she couldn't stand to be in the same room with him for more then an hour, but they had grown to be good friends.

What happened that day, Reba would never forget.

After talking with Brock for a while, as she was leaving to go home, Brock took her by the arm. "What are you doing?" she asked looking up into his eyes.

At first, he said nothing. He unexpectedly leaned down and kissed her. "Reba, I-I love you," he told her. The words hung like a weight on her heart. For a second she had to remember how to breathe. She couldn't believe that anything like this would ever happen.

"I…I…um…I have to go," she told him, confused.

Brock kept his hold on her arm. She felt herself being pulled back as she walked forward to leave, "Brock…please don't do this," she whispered. She knew that if he continued on like this she would loose all control, and she hated the feeling of not being in control of her life. To Reba, that was her worst nightmare.

Reba felt tears forming behind her eyes and she grabbed her purse and opened the door to leave. She walked out and Brock closed the door behind her.

Her mind was rushing thought a million thoughts as she started walking home. She barely made it to the sidewalk before she felt her legs stop moving. She stood there, letting the tears roll freely down her face. She turned back around, and used the back of her hand to wipe them away as she started to almost run back to Brock. It was like the thought of being away from him was unbearable.

As she made her way back towards the front door, she saw that it was already open and Brock was walking towards her. Without a second thought she ran up to kiss him, jumping into his arms and wrapping her legs around his waist. Before she knew is she was almost panting in his arms. She felt as if anywhere his hands touched set on fire. She missed this much passion in a relationship. She just wished that they could actually say they were in a relationship.

She knew as well as he did, that this couldn't go any further. They knew that this would be the last time they could feel each other's hearts beating with this much vigor. Their love was forbidden. But this moment in time, they would enjoy, and keep with them for the rest of their lives.
