But It's Christmas

"Nice cologne," Goh muttered as Taki walked past him, "Did your girlfriend give it to you?"

"But, Goh…you don't buy me cologne," Taki snickered -Goh had walked right into that one. Goh just crossed his arms and started grumbling to himself.

"But your new boss really likes you. She treats you like she would a boyfriend! Didn't she give you that cologne as a present? You can't have us both."

"I can't very well give it back to her, now, can I?"

"…Why not?"

"It's rude!" Taki exclaimed. "Besides, it's a harmless Christmas present…" Taki added, trying to convince himself as well as Goh.

Goh fell silent and dropped the subject while Taki tied his bowtie, the finishing touch to his new bartender uniform.

"Do you really have to work tonight? It's Christmas." Goh whined.

"I do, unfortunately. You see, I live with a 'kept' man nowadays. One of us needs to contribute to society…"

"But it's Christmas," Goh was back to grumbling. "What kind of bar is open on Christmas anyway? And I'm not kept. I just don't see the point in going back to work when we have plenty of money left from being snatchers."

Taki didn't even dignify that with an answer. Instead he walked purposefully back to his room and came back with the small bottle of cologne. Goh wrinkled his nose in disgust.

"Taki!" Goh yelled once Taki had spritzed him with the new cologne.

"There. Now you smell like me…"

Goh wanted to add a naughty comeback, but held his tongue, fearing that the comment would earn him a punch in the face. Instead, Goh concentrated on making Taki feel guilty about going to work and how he could get compensation for such an atrocity.

"I think I'll go over there later while you're working and tell that boss of yours that you're with me."

"She should know, though, right? I can't just let her come in and take you from me. We already went through that with Mizuki."

"Please don't…"

"Or, better yet, I'll go in and all kiss you," Goh gasped, mocking Taki, "in front of all those customers!"

"What would make you stay away from the bar tonight?"

"If you stayed here…" Goh trailed off.

"Goh, you know I can't do that. I have to work."

"Think of something…" Goh grinned wickedly.

"Is that all you ever think about?"

"It's your fault…"

Taki looked decidedly disgusted.

"It's true!"

"Whatever." Taki wasn't really angry, he honestly just enjoyed messing with Goh's head.

"Let me drive you, that'll be my contribution to society for today," Goh said finally.

Taki groaned; it was such a bad joke. "Alright, fine."

When they pulled up to the bar, Taki squeezed Goh's hand before opening the door and stepping out. He had almost reached the door, when he heard his name being called.

"Taki!" Goh was calling.

Taki turned around and found Goh walking up to the door of the pub to meet him.

"Wha-" was all Taki managed to get out before Goh kissed him. In public. With people around.

Once Goh released Taki from his hold, he found himself being scolded.

"Goh! We're in public! Don't do things like that!" Taki restrained the desire to send him flying.

Goh looked satisfied with himself. He grinned at Taki, mocking his anger and embarrassment.

"Don't work too hard, Taki…It's still Christmas and I have a present for you. You'll need your strength" Goh winked.

Taki looked surprised for a moment then said softly, "I'll try and get out of here as soon as I can…"
