Disclaimer: I only own Angela and Tracy even though I wish I owned Jeff

Jeff Hardy lied in his bed unable to sleep as he stared over at his wife Angela. He could hear the pitter patter of tiny feet on the hard wood floor.

"Daddy?" a small voice whispered.

"What Tracy?" "Why aren't you in bed sweetie?" he asked turning to his three year old daughter.

"I can't sleep." she said sticking her tumb back in her mouth.

"Okay, I'll take you back to bed." he said climbing out of his own bed.

"Okay" she smiled wrapping her small hand around one of his fingers.

Her walked the young girl back to her room. Gently he lifted her and laid her back in her powder pink sheets. Then he turned to leave.

"Daddy, where's Bunny?" she asked seaching the floor for her stuffed friend.

"He walked back over to the bed and picked the powder blue animal off the floor. "Here she is cupcake" he smiled handing it to her.

"Thank you Daddy." she smiled. "Daddy, will you sing to me?" she asked.

"What do you want me to sing pumpkin?" Jeff asked, already knowing her answer.

"The rainbow one." she smiled.

He sat down beside and began to sing.

You're the end of the rainbow

My pot of gold

You're daddy's little angel

To have and hold

You're sugar and spice

And everything nice

And you're Daddy's little girl

He finished the song and looked at his daughter who had a frown on her face.

"What's wrong pumpkin?" he asked.

"When are you going bye-bye again?" she asked. Small tears were forming in her green eyes.

"Next week cupcake." he said choking on his words not wanting to see her cry.

"Who's gonna sing to me when you're gone?" she asked.

"I don't know pumpkin, but I'll figure it out before I leave I promise." he replied.

"Promise, now you get some sleep okay?" he smiled, kissing her forehead.

"Okay, love you Daddy." she smiled.

"Love you too Tracy, night darlin'" he smiled.

He left the room and when back to his own.

"Where've you been?" his wife mutered still half asleep.

"Tracy couldn't sleep." he said. "Have you seen my tape recorder darlin'?" he asked.

"In your black recording bag, why?" she asked back.

"It's for Tracy when I leave." he said.

"Oh, okay I see." she said walking over to him. " You really love that girl don't you?" she smiled.

"Of course I do, she's my daughter."

Angela laughed, "Daddy's little girl."

"That she is." Jeff laughed back.

One week later Tracy was dragging herself to bed when her mother came up behind her.

"Tracy, your Daddy left this for you." she said.

The young girl pressed the large red play button and listened.

"Hey there cupcake, it's time for bed."

"Go on go, the faster you get to bed the sooner I'll sing to you."

The young girl ran to her room as fast as she could jumping in her bed.

"Get yourself tucked in ok?" the recording continued.

"Are you ready cupcake?"

"You're the end of the rainbow

My pot of gold

You're daddy's little angel

To have and hold

You're sugar and spice

And everything nice

And you're Daddy's little girl"

"I love you Tracy." the recording finished.

"I love you too daddy." the young girl whispered as she fell asleep with the recorer in her hands.

Angela stood in the doorway with a smile. "Daddy's little girl."
