Basta's eyes followed the blond girl's figure as she made her way out of the tavern. She wore a corset that crunched her belly to a wasp waist. Her long blond hair was tied in a bun at the base of her neck, and her smooth sun kissed skin gave off a radiant glow. Basta watched her with such great interest. She took short, dainty strides and looked from side to side as she walked, as if inspecting the men who were watching her from behind their pipes. Her lips did not curve into a smile. She just kept walking…
"Hello there" purred Basta, jumping out from behind a wall. The blond shrieked and jumped, and Basta laughed. "Lovely evening for a stroll, isn't it?" Basta put his hand on the lady's forearm and led her away from the music and bustle from the inn.
"Wh-who are you? Where are y-you taking me?"
"Who are you is the question I'd like to ask."
"I'm Rose" She said nervously, looking over her shoulder.
"And I'm Basta." Basta's white teeth flashed in a smile, and Rose shuddered.
"What do you want from me?" She was balling her hands into weak fists.
"Something simple…" Basta leaned in to kiss Rose, but her green eyes widened in horror and she punched him in the face.
"TAKE THAT!" She roared triumphantly, watching as a bit of blood came from Basta's nose.
"OW" He groaned, holding his hands to his face. "All I wanted was a kiss" His voice was muffled from behind his hands.
"Your breath is foul" said Rose, turning up her nose. "And you're just a boy. How old are you anyways?"
"Sixteen" muttered Basta, sniffing back the blood.
"Sixteen? You're not but a year younger then me." Rose seemed to consider this. Basta was over the shock of Rose's light blow, and he looked her up and down again. She was a treat for the eyes…large breasts, tiny waist, fair sized hips, blond hair, radiant skin… "And my husband is an ogre of a man…" A tiny smile appeared on her lips.
"Yess…" Basta liked the way this was going. If he was lucky, maybe, just maybe…he tried to kiss her again, but she shoved him away.
"I've told you, your breath is RANK! No man with breath like that shall kiss me." With that she turned and left, leaving Basta open mouthed and disappointed. That was the fifth rejection that day…
