Let the Rain Fall

"Shawn! Shawn, come inside, you're getting soaked!" Jules yelled out into the pouring rain from the arc of the SBPD entrance, but Shawn didn't appear to be listening. Instead, he turned slowly on his heals in a perfect circle, his eyes never leaving the sky, which let the rain fall as if trying to get rid of all the water in the world onto the city. Shaking her head, Juliet tried once more. "Shawn! You're going to get sick!"

This time, he heard her call, as he turned to face her, a giant grin planted on his face. "Join me!" He cried out to her, his smile broadening as she shook hear head yet again in exasperation.

"You're crazy! I have no intention of going out there and getting pneumonia!" They both had to yell to be heard over the rainfall.

"Who cares? They have cures for that now-a-days!" He chuckled, and for a second, forgot about Jules as he looked skyward once more, spreading his arms out and opening his mouth to catch the falling drops. He'd done it as a child, and had no intentions of stopping now.

Juliet, from her dry spot, laughed at his antics. Deciding that there was no hope of getting the residential psychic out of the storm and into the comforts of the headquarters, she turned around to leave, only to suddenly feel a wet hand grab her elbow. Pivoting around to face this new development, she was slightly surprised to see Shawn standing before her, dripping wet, and looking completely serious, and with an expression she couldn't quit place.

Smirking, she turned around fully, looking up slightly to look him in the eyes. "Finally decided to wait out the storm?"

Shaking his head, Shawn slid his hand from her elbow to grip her own hand, his eyes locking onto hers. "Dance with me." He said as he gently guided her out of the dry safety of the SBPD hallway and back out to the wet reality of the parking lot, and she followed, mesmerized by the softness and caring in his eyes.
