This is just something I thought of one day. I hope you like it, it's DeiSaku. Basically, Sakura had left Konoha, and Akatsuki found her. She and Deidara fell in love. This the end of a fight with Sasuke that Konoha nin and Akatsuki ran into each other in. A little sad. I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto
Wild chirping filled the air as the chidori struck true. Its victim fell back, reaching out to grasp anything. Strong arms caught her. Someone was screaming her name. Another name was being called.
"Sasuke!" A loud voice yelled, "Sasuke, how could you?!"
Sasuke? Ah, yes, she remembered him. He broke her heart.
"Come on, Sakura, yeah," A familiar voice said, "Open your eyes."
But I'm too tired.
"Sakura-chan," Another voice yelled, "Get away from her you bastard!"
The one holding her ignored the knucklehead ninja and continued to stroke her hair.
"Sakura, wake up, yeah," He said, "If you don't I'll have to throw a bucket of ice water on you! Heh, I won't know what hit me until I wake up in a crater out back in an hour, right? Right, hana? Come on; yell at me, I know you hate it when I call you hana. Its not right if you don't yell at me."
Stop calling me hana! Just let me sleep!
He stroked her bubblegum locks as tears ran down his face. Another hand was on her arm, as another voice spoke.
"Sakura-chan, he may be a bastard, but he's right; you have to wake up," He said, "I don't know what would happen to us if you died. We can't live without you. Come on, I know you're strong, open your eyes for me."
Another presence was next to her, his silver hair caked in blood.
"Sakura-chan, please wake up," The silver-haired man said, "We need you to stay alive."
Alive? Die? No, I'm not dying, I'm just tired. I'm just so tired…
A tear dropped onto her face.
Stop crying, Deidara, I just want to sleep. Please, stop talking for a bit, I can't fall asleep with you talking.
"We have to stop the bleeding," A commanding female voice said as I was ripped from Deidara's arms, "Keep talking to her, she needs to stay awake."
Bleeding? But I don't feel anything. Just leave me alone, I want to sleep.
"Come on, hana," Deidara said as he stroked her hair, "Tomorrow, we'll go out back to the cherry trees, I know you love it out there. Then you and Kisame will get into a shouting match about him calling you Pinky. Then you'll play shogi with Itachi-san. Remember! The score's tied seven games to seven! Someone has to win. You can't win if you fall asleep now."
Can't have that can we?
"Please Sakura-chan," Naruto said, "I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise, I'm sorry I couldn't bring Sasuke-teme back."
It's alright Naruto… I'm sorry team seven can't come back.
"Sakura-chan," Kakashi said, "I've been thinking of teaching you how to summon my nin-dogs. Would you like that?"
Of course, I'd been begging you to teach me that before I left.
"Sakura, if you pull through this, Leader-sama will be sure to stop hunting the Kyuubi," Deidara said, "He thinks of you like a daughter; please, he'll be devastated to lose his little hana, yeah."
Stop calling me that.
"Sakura, we'll make a truce with the Akatsuki, we'll make peace," Tsunade said while not averting her eyes from the wound, "Just please don't fall asleep."
"D-don't worry, I'm not t-tired anymore, I can't f-f-fall asleep with a-all of you t-talking," Sakura said, finding her voice.
"A-arigatou, hana," Deidara whispered kissing her forehead.
Suddenly he felt a pain in his chest and he flew back into a tree. As he regained his senses he saw Sakura surrounded by a stunned Tsunade, Naruto, and Kakashi, and she herself with an outstretched fist.
"Don't call me hana."
"Yeah, she's awake now," Deidara choked.
