I recently became determined to write a drabble. As a writer of epic fanfiction, I have always had respect for writers who can do drabbles, but the skill elludes me. What I ended up with was a body of ficlets mostly too long for drabble-length but shorter than even the usual length of my rare short fics. Some are connected to my Rediscovered Hearts AU and some are just random. So I'm just going to post each one separately because there's no rhyme or reason to them so it doesn't make sense to do a "collection".

There was a faded construction paper heart on the wall behind his desk. It was one of several Manda had made back in the days when she wouldn't have even thought of having another Valentine, but this was the only one that had survived. He was glad that at least one of them had, and he lovingly glued back the seashells, taped the tears, and even applied new glitter from time to time. She shook her head and sighed at him, but he didn't tell her that she would understand someday. He only smiled, waiting patiently until she did.
