Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight.
Couldn't think of another title...
It was expected after all. After she had been repeatedly told how tempting her blood was, Bella Swan should have expected that eventually, she would be attacked for it. Edward had tried to save her from this horrible fate. But there was only one of him. And so many of them. It was inevitable.
Lying in his arms, it was sheer agony trying to refrain from clawing her skin out. She gave in and decided to do just that, but his icy caught her wrist.
"I'm sorry, Bella. There were just too many of them," he said gravely.
She rolled her eyes. "Don't be silly, Edward. I don't expect you to save me from every little bloodsucker out for my blood."
His eyes narrowed at her choice of words before they softened as he let out a soft chuckle. "I don't think the mosquito population in Forks was this high before you moved here."
I hope it wasn't too obvious... Not sure how likely this is in Forks, but I just had to write it after being inspired by some evil mosquito bites... And it's rather short, but I wasn't really sure how to to drag it out without being repetitive...
