Post-game one-shot set after Lloyd and Colette have been on their journey to collect up as many exspheres as possible. Pointless fluffy nonsense.
Dedication: to my "Lloyd".
Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of Symphonia, I believe that it belongs to Namco.
There were times, Noishe thought, when Lloyd and Colette could be very silly, like two playful puppies. This afternoon, for example, they'd turned changing their bedlinen into an event that had involved a lot of laughter and more time spent messing about than on their task.
It had started when, while they'd been sitting on the bed taking the pillow cases off, Colette had put her pillow down and had moved to hug Lloyd, nuzzling his cheek. Not being in a particular hurry Lloyd had allowed himself to become distracted, abandoning his pillow to wrap his arms around Colette. He had gently pulled her down onto the bed with him where they had tangled themselves up together in a cozy hug.
They had spent some time gently caressing and making a fuss of one another, enjoying relaxing so closely together. Then, after a while, a playful grin had appeared on Lloyd's face and he had begun to tickle the little angel in his arms.
She had squeaked happily, protesting and trying to escape half-heartedly. Lloyd had had a mischievous glint in his eyes when, growling playfully, he'd pinned her down on her back, lifted her top a little to expose her belly, and blown a raspberry on her stomach. That had caused Colette to squeak even louder. She had tried, unsuccessfully, to wriggle out of his grasp and so had started to look around for another means of escape.
As Lloyd had been concentrating on blowing raspberries on Colette's tummy he'd not noticed her grabbing a pillow. He had yelped in surprised when the little blonde had, very lightly, thumped his back with a pillow. This had caused him to grab a pillow himself and a pillow fight had begun, all thoughts of chores forgotten as they bounced around on the bed, giggling excitedly as feathers, both from the pillows and from the wings on their backs, had begun to fly through the air.
Noishe had left the room at that point, leaving them to their game and whatever else they might have gotten up to after that.
He yawned and stretched, getting up from beside the fireplace to go and rest his head on Colette's lap. She was curled up with Lloyd, listening to the radio, the pair now relaxing calmly in each other's arms.
Colette cooed at him and untangled one of her arms from Lloyd to gently stroke the top of Noishe's head. Her other hand, he noticed, stayed firmly in Lloyd's, their fingers intertwined. Noishe gave a soft, contented growl, enjoying the fuss.
He rolled his eyes, the slightest hint of a smile on his face, as the couple began to murmur sweet nothings to each other. He yawned exaggeratedly, playfully making fun of the couple, then growled good-naturedly as Lloyd ruffled the fur on the top of his head.
The swordsman settled back onto the sofa and wrapped his arms tighter around Colette who nuzzled his chest gently.
Noishe padded back to his spot beside the fire, circling around on the rug a few times before slumping down in his favourite warm spot. He rested his head on his paws and closed his eyes contentedly, half-listening to the couple talking quietly, their voices barely audible above the gentle music on the radio.
To be honest their silly antics amused him. They were also pleasant because it was one of the many ways in which they expressed their affection for one another. It was nice to see them so happy and he could tell, even without listening to the words they were speaking now, that they loved each other very much, that their bond was deep and that they would continue to make each other happy throughout their lives.
