A/N: I experimented with on-purpose fragments and onomatopeia! If I failed miserably...tell me. If I made it work (Even if it be somewhat) tell me. I'd like to know what works.

I'm pretty sure you can tell when this takes place. No pairing, though.

Disclaimer: -Snaps fingers- I just realized something! -Cackles- I bet you can't figure out what it is!! I don't own Wicked! -POP-

Snap, Cackle, Pop

Silence.

The tap of a pen on wood. Manicured fingernails drumming a bedazzled hand mirror. A knee bouncing up and down in fast-paced anxiety. Flaxen locks swishing with each twist of the head. The scriff scriffing of green fingers scratching an itching scalp. Perfect, shining, white teeth smacking loudly on chewing gum, occasionally blowing round, pink bubbles.

An icy glare shot at the bubble-blower through black-rimmed glasses. Crystal blue eyes drift to the drab, gray carpet, as one creamy, white finger pops the balloon size bubble.

A pen scribbling words on paper at an increased tempo.

The chewing resumes, coming closer…closer…until right next to a green ear – POP!

An exasperated growl escapes gritted teeth, as the pen clatters onto the desk. Startled, the bubble-blower releases a feminine shriek. Pink bubblegum plops out of the mouth and sticks to the floor.

Pouted lips giving a small cry of dismay. A hidden smirk and an audible cackle of satisfaction.

The tap of a pen on wood.

The crinkling of a wrapper. Perfect, shining white teeth smacking on gum through a grin.

Faster the tapping becomes.

Louder the chewing sounds.

Faster.

Louder.

Faster.

Louder.

Faster.

Louder.

A deafening pop.

The clattering of a pen.

Two heads whip around, eyes burning holes into one another. Chests heave. Blood boils. Fists clench.

At maximum volume, both shout, "SHUT UP!"

Silence.
