Disclaimer: I do not own NCIS, nor do I own the song "You'll Always be in my Heart" by Phil Collins, played in Tarzan

A/N: Short little fic I made while I was procrastinating from doing a midterm. I started listening to the Tarzan soundtrack, and heard this song and just got inspired. Sorry for any mistakes. I hope you like it!

You'll Be In My Heart

Ziva woke to the crying of a baby in the next room. "Tali," she said softly as she turned her head slightly to look at the sleeping man lying next to her in the bed, his arm draped protectively over her waist. She quietly slipped out from under his arm and the sheets, wrapping a robe around herself and softly padding out of her room and down the hall to the half opened white door of the nursery. She softly pushed it open and walked in, spotting her crying baby in her crib. She reached down and picked her up, softly shushing and cooing to her.

"Come...stop your crying...

It will be all right.

Just take my hand...

Hold it tight.

I will protect you...

From all around you.

I will be here...

Don't you cry."

She sat down in the rocking chair, and rocked back and forth, smiling as Tali slowed down her sobs and wrapped her fingers around her mom's, staring up into eyes that mirrored her own.

"For one so small...

You seem so strong.

My arms will hold you...

Keep you safe and warm.

This bond between us...

Can't be broken.

I will be here...

Don't you cry."

Tali's eyelids started to droop close and a huge yawn covered her face. She snuggled deeper into her mother's arms burying her head into the crook of Ziva's arm, and her little fists let go of Ziva's fingers and grabbed a hold of her robe.

"'Cause you'll be in my heart...

Yes...you'll be in my heart.

From this day on...

Now...and forever more.

You'll be in my heart...

No matter what they say.

You'll be here in my heart...always."

Ziva smiled down at her sleeping daughter, stood up and placed her back in her crib. She then stepped back and watched her daughter sleep for a little longer.

"You have a beautiful voice, my love, did you know that?" Tony's voice drifted towards her from the doorway. Ziva jumped slightly, then turned around and gave Tony a smile. She walked towards him and he wrapped his arms around her.

"You only say that because you love me."

"True, I do love you, but you also do have a beautiful voice and there is no denying that. Did anyone ever tell you that?"

Ziva turned her head away from Tony to look back into her daughter's room, fighting to keep the tears from falling. "Ari did."

She felt Tony stiffen, but then he relaxed and rubbed Ziva's shoulders. She sighed.

"Do you think he'll ever want to meet her?" she asked, turning to look up into her husband's eyes.

Tony sighed. He didn't have to ask who she was talking about. "I'm sure your father will want to meet her some day, Ziva. Just give him time. Hey, hey, there, don't cry," he said using his thumbs to wipe the tears that were falling down her face.

Ziva stood up a little bit and kissed Tony on the lips, then settled into his arms again, watching their sleeping daughter. "She will always be ours, won't she?"

He kissed the top of her head. "Always."
