Hey! This is just a scene from last night's episode (The pain in the heart 3.15) that I thought was missing. Feedback would be great. Please read and let me know what you think of it. Enjoy!

"Alright Bones, I got us something." Booth said walking in to Bones office.

Bones was typing away at her computer as Booth talked to her she never looked away from her computer. It had her full attention, not Booth.

"Bones." Booth called out trying to get her to look at him "Bones." Nothing.

Booth walked over to her computer and turned off the monitor. "Booth!" Brennan exclaimed. "Why did you do that?"

"What's going on?"

"What are you talking about?" Brennan said turning her computer back on.

"Bones, c'mon. You've been ignoring me since I got back."

"Oh, you mean from the dead?" Booth scowled at the comment. "And, I haven't been ignoring you. I'm just busy, that's all."

"Bones, that's bullshit. I mean I take a bullet for you and this is how you re pay me."

"Oh, well then thank you, Booth. Oh yeah and, thank you for the two weeks of hell!" She screamed the last part at him.

"Bones, come on. Not that again. I already told you I put you in the list and then like you asked I went and found out why. Okay, problem solved."

"Problem not solved. Alright, you didn't have to go through two weeks of guilt and then find out everything was in reality just fine."

"Whoa, wait what? Two weeks of what guilt?"

Brennan suddenly went quiet.

"Bones." Booth prodded. "What guilt? Bones?"

"What guilt do you think, Booth. For two weeks I thought you were dead because of me. I thought my friend, someone who I was close to was gone and that I would never see you again. Ever!"

"But I'm alright now."

"It doesn't matter. It doesn't erase the pain I had. I thought you were dead because of me. I kept blaming myself. Two fucking weeks." Booth was surprised at her language. "A hundred different scenarios kept going through my mind of how it could of happened. I never thought I would see you again." Bones voice was rising.

"Bones..." Booth tired to be sympathetic but Bones pushed him away.

"No!' Small tears were in her eyes. "I thought you were dead because of me." She whispered half to herself.

Booth stepped toward her and this time Bones let him hold her.

"Sshhh...It's okay. Everything is alright." He said as she cried in his shoulder. "I'm here now, it's okay.

When Brennan hadn't gotten herself together she looked up at Booth and said, "Booth next time you die for a case I want to be the first person to know you're alive."

"Definitely, Bones."

"And, I want you to be the one to tell me."

"Bones, I can't cause of proto--"

"I don't care about protocol. You're my partner. I want you to be the one to tell me, no one else." Booth could see how determined she was and he cracked.

"Okay, next time you get to know first and I will be the one to tell ya."

Brennan sighed. She had won this one. Booth rested his chin on the top of her head and hugged her.

"But Booth..."

He sighed. What now? "Yeah?"

"Please try not to fake die, ever again."

They both quietly laughed at her remark, still holding each other. Brennan didn't know it but Booth was silently smiling to himself and not about her least comment.
