The Ghost of You

By: Sparxyu

'Huh?' Yugi thought groggily, rubbing his eyes. When he saw the time, he realized that it was still night and gave a slight sigh. He'd been dreaming about Yami just before he had woken up.

'I miss you, Yami,' he thought. 'Mou hitori no boku.'

Unable to fall back asleep, he reached for his portable CD player and popped a CD in.

I never said I'd lie and wait forever,

If I died we'd be together,

I can't always just forget her

But she could try

At the end of the world,

Or the last thing I see,

You are

Never coming home

Never coming home

Could I? Should I?

And all the things that you never ever told me

And all the smiles that are ever, ever…

Never coming home,

Never coming home,

Never coming home,

Never coming home

And all the things that you never ever told me

And all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me

Never coming home

Never coming home

Could I? Should I?

And all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me,

For all the ghosts that are never gonna…

The tears streamed down Yugi's cheeks. He really missed Yami and the grief was nearly overwhelming. He threw himself on the bed and buried his face in his pillow, sobbing quietly.

Suddenly, he sat up, alert. He'd felt hands rubbing his back, but there was no one there. The millennium puzzle shone brightly on his bedside table.
