A/N I got bored in science and this idea came to me. Enjoy, or try to. XD
Disclaimer I don't own anything but the plotline.
Inuyasha lay one the ground, anger inhabiting his features. Sesshomaru, his face in a familiar deadpan, had his sword to Inuyasha's chest. Even without emotion on his face, you could tell he was far from happy. I resisted the urge to call out to the Hanyou. I knew he'd just yell at me. It was his way of showing he cared. He would try to keep me out for my safety. I took notice to a small imp demon and a young human girl, not to far away from the great lord. The silence was broken by Inuyasha's angry voice.
"Go ahead, I'm defenseless, just kill me." He growled. The tetsiuga was in the distance, a useless rusty sword.
I couldn't contain it anymore. I took an arrow and my bow. The arrow I shot went across the demon's face, less than an inch away. It struck a tree on the other side of the clearing. He casually turned his head towards me. Nonchalantly, he raised an eyebrow at me. Inuyasha growled, angry at me for interfering.
"Kagome!" He yelled, a strange mix of anger and concern in his rough voice.
"Sesshomaru, don't touch her!" He shot at his brother.
A small glance was thrown towards Inuyasha. Sesshomaru then Threw his hand in front of him. A long yellow whip hit me. I flew backwards, hitting a tree. I heard Inuyasha call my name again. Sesshomaru walked calmly towards me. I lifted my head, staring up at the dog demon. He raised his sword and I closed my eyes, awaiting the pain.
"Sesshomaru! Touch her and it'll be the last thing you ever do!" Inuyasha failed to stop him. Suddenly, I felt small arms wrap around me. I opened one eyes to see the little girl there in front of.
"Wait Lord Sesshomaru!" She said, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Rin. Move." He saif, no emotion in his voice.
"No!" She answered. He seemed a bit taken aback. Then he regained his composure.
"Tell me Rin," He began. "What reason do I have not to harm her?" I drew in a shaky breath. I was amazed that this little girl could stop, even if only for a moment, a demon lord.
"She looks like Momma." The child said quietly. I waited to see Sesshomaru's reaction. He remained still for a moment. Then he resheathed his sword.
He started to walk away. I could see Inuyasha, holding his stomach, blood dribbling down. Rin stood up slowly, a small smile on her face. Inuyasha threw a confused look my way. I shrugged slightly in return. The child ran a few steps closer to where her lord was. He continued to walk, slowly. Jaken staring, surprised, at him.
"Oh Thank you Papa, I-" She stopped, her eyes widening. Her hands flew to her mouth, covering it. Sesshomaru stopped walking. Standing still.
"I'm sorry mi lord, I didn't mean it, it was an accident rea-" She was cut short by Sesshoamru, who said her name. She made a small 'eep' noise, then closed her mouth. He looked over his shoulder slightly.
"Are you coming?" He asked. Rin stood in shock for a moment, the a huge grin split across her face. She ran to his side and began walking with him. Passing a very, VERY shocked Jaken.
"Come along or I'll leave you behind." The youkai said casually, as if nothing had happened. Soon, all three of them were out of sight. A stood slowly, going to Inuyasha's side.
"Are you okay?" I asked him. He nodded, putting on his usual tough guy act. I helped him stand.
"What the hell was that about?" He asked me. I shrugged slightly. But I knew, Sesshomaru did indeed have a heart. And that little girl is what brings it out.
A/N Lame ending. I know. Plus, it was a lot better in my head than it turned out. But isn't that how it usually works out? XD Well, I have no idea what Rin's mother looked like so, yeah. XD Flames will be used to burn my brother's socks. XD
