Disclaimer: I don't own them. If I did, the partners would already be more than partners.

A/N: The dialogue and scene may not go exactly like the episode, but I just had the thought and wanted to get it out of my system. R and R! Thanks all!

Doctor Temperance Brennan slid the bathroom sliding door open and burst in on her partner, Special Agent Seeley Booth. He was in the claw-foot tub with a drink dispensing hat that currently held two can beers on his head, a cigar in his left hand, stark naked, and music playing.

"Bones! What are you doing in here? Can't you see I'm taking a bath?" Booth jumped. He tried to cover himself as best as possible.

"Why didn't you tell me personally?" Bones asked. He caught the slight hurt in her voice.

"I told the FBI to inform you, but the wires must have been crossed or something." Booth offered.

It didn't settle with her. "You should have told me. I wanted to hear it from you. Not some lame ass agent who didn't know the first thing to our partnership. You, Booth. I wanted to hear you tell me."

He rose without thinking of covering himself with a towel. "I couldn't tell you! They wouldn't let me!" He stressed.

She noticed the lack of clothing and glanced down. "You want me to get you a towel?"

"Do I want you to get me a towel? No!" He fumed. The look was there. She wanted him. Badly. He wanted her, too. "Actually, maybe a towel would be better. It's a little cold."

She reached for the towel and moved closer to hand it to him when he reached for her wrist. "Booth, what are you doing?" she asked. He smirked. Before she knew it, he had her in the water with him, pulling both of them and the towel in the warm water. She yelped. "Booth! My clothes are all wet!"

"I know." He whispered. His voice was low and husky. Her head was next to his neck, and he placed a soft kiss against her ear. "Take them off so they can dry."

"Booth!" Bones hissed, disbelieving that this was her partner. "What have they done to you?"

"Nothing. They made me realize that I could not live with you." Booth whispered. He looked down at her as she looked up at him. Their lips were mere inches apart. It was she who decided to end the friendship and delve into the relationship. Her lips connected with his, and it seemed that her wet clothes no longer matter to either of them.

"And I couldn't live without you, either." Temperance told him, reaching up to kiss him again and play with his hair.

The End
