How Fruits Basket could have been completely different…
"Ms. Honda, I know it's quite stuffy in here, but I hope it's to your liking."
"Oh no! Thank you so much Yuki! I just hope I'm not causing any trouble here!"
"It's no trouble at all; it's dangerous for a girl to be out in the woods all alone like that." Yuki said opening a window.
"R-right." Tohru sighed and turned around the other way when she heard the sound of someone coming through the roof. She slowly turned her head to see an orange-haired boy standing in front of Yuki, cracking his shoulder.
"Hey Rat-boy, are you ready for me to break your neck? Today's the day I'm finally going to beat your sissy-ass to the ground!" The boy lunged at Yuki and Tohru's eyes widened.
"No wait! Don't fight-!" Tohru slipped on one of the boards that had fallen from the ceiling and wrapped her arms around the strange man in front of her instinctively to block her fall.
Yuki's eyes widened and his mouth hung open, as did Kyo's immediately realizing what would happen; only… it didn't.
Tohru landed right on top of the boy who fell to the ground flat on his face still getting over the shock.
"Yuuuuki what was that noise I heard, Kyo isn't back is-"
Shigure stared at Yuki with this completely blank and horrified expression on his face and looked down where Kyo was giving an equally freaked expression as he saw the girl still on top of him finally coming to her senses, she blinked.
"Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that, I'm really sorry! You really shouldn't fight though, oh but it's none of my business, and I'm really-" Tohru stopped as no one made a reaction and looked around the room to see everyone starring at her.
"U-Ummm, is everything ok? D-do I have something on my face?"
"Oh well this is awkward…" Shigure said and left the room.
