Not one of my best, but you know, I tried. Tell me what ya think.

"Destiny Island sunsets are so beautiful," Kairi said, stretching back her arms to run her fingers through the soft sand. "Pink, orange, and yellow all mixed together. I love watching the sun sink slowly beyond the horizon."

Kairi looked next to her at a big pair of blue eyes staring back at her. Sora put his hands behind his head and lay back in the sand.

"Yeah, you are beautiful," Sora said dreamily.

"What?" Kairi asked, looking questioningly over at her friend.

"It, meaning the sunset," Sora said nervously. "The sunset is beautiful."

The two friends lay next to each on the sand and watched as the sun slowly sank in the sky. Xemnas was defeated and the world saved, so now they were able to relax with no worries. Sora could feel the warm place in his heart where Roxas belonged, finally filled. Looking over at Kairi, he knew that Namine was now in the place she belonged as well.

When Sora looked at Kairi, all he could think about was how beautiful she on the inside and out. He loved her so unconditionally, like he had loved no one else before. But she would never know, because he didn't know how to tell her. He would never be able to say those three words, those said too much but not enough.

"Hey Sora?" Kairi asked, angling her body so she was facing him.

"Yeah?"

"Whatcha thinking about?" Kairi asked.

"Uh, n-nothing," Sora stuttered. "What about you?"

"Nothing," Kairi said, turning back to face the sunset.

The two sat in silence on the beach, the crashing of the waves the only sound. A small breeze blew past and waved the trees causing them to emit a soft flutter.

"Do you remember when I hugged you back at Organization XIII's tower?" Kairi asked, glancing over at Sora to gauge his reaction.

"Yeah…" Sora said slowly, wondering where Kairi was trying to steer the conversation.

"Well, I can't stop thinking about it," Kairi said, sitting straight up in frustration. "Didn't you feel it?"

"Kairi, what are you talking about?" Sora asked, sitting up as well.

"You didn't feel the electricity when our bodies touched?" Kairi asked, throwing her arms up in the air. "It felt so…wonderful. I never felt that way around anyone before in my entire life."

"Really?" Sora asked, unable to believe what he was hearing.

"Yes," Kairi breathed, touching Sora's face gently. "I think I am falling for you Sora. And I am tired of waiting for you to pluck up the courage and make a move."

"I was scared," Sora said pathetically, looking down into his lap. "I thought you would want someone better than me."

"Sora, don't you understand?" Kairi said. "There isn't anyone better than you."

The two drew closer to one another, neither one noticing anything other than the other one's face. Time seemed to slow to a stop and all that existed was the two of them.

"I have wanted to tell you this since the day we met," Sora said, cupping Kairi's soft and delicate face. "I- I love you Kairi. More than anything."

"I love you too Sora," Kairi said.

Their lips met just as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon and the beach went dark, but the two continued kissing as if they were in another world. And they were in another world. They had both been missing one thing, the love of the other. The warmth of a soft body cuddled up against your own and the soft touch of lips. Sora and Kairi broke apart and smiled at one another. Sora lay back down in the sand and Kairi cuddled up next to him. Two hearts, beating as one, sharing warmth and love. A true love that is so hard to find nowadays. Kairi and Sora lay together all night, neither one speaking, just basking in the warmth of each other's body. They stayed like this until the sun came back over the horizon and made the world light again.
