Don't forget to r&r. Just a little drabble to keep me sane waiting for "Journey's End." I'm not used to writing drabbles, so any feedback is extremely welcome.
She refused to look away.
The golden light burned, almost blinding her. But still she would not do him the cruelty of looking away. She had searched for him for so long, now that she had found him, she couldn't tear her eyes away from the flames that had encompassed his entire body, lighting up the entire control room, like the supernova that he was.
She had watched his first regeneration, had stood by him then. She hadn't worked so hard to leave him now, when he needed her most. She was the first to see the flames burn themselves out. His eyes went straight to hers, talking to the room, but the words seemed directed at her as he fell.
And she did.
She always would.
