We, the Sparky Army, decree 2008 to be the Year of the Spark. We pledge to post a new sparky story or chapter of a sparky story every day from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. Though the Powers the Be have removed Elizabeth Weir from the regular cast of Stargate Atlantis, we feel that she remains an integral part of the show, and that the relationship between her and John Sheppard is too obvious to be ignored. We hope that you, and anyone might happen to read these works, agree.
And if that isn't official enough for you, we don't know what is. Seriously, guys, we're just trying to have some fun--and show TPTB that Sparky is the way to go. So sit back and enjoy the 366 stories coming your way!
A/N (BuleSkys91): Random fluff that is extremely sappy, not my usual, but oh well. Inspired when the Rascal Flatts song Fallin' Upside Down started playing on my iPod and I couldn't shake the idea! Enjoy and thanks for reading! :D
Thanks to Sparkly for the GREAT beta!! :D
Fallin' upside down
John walked onto the baloney. He saw Elizabeth in her usual spot looking out over the ocean.
The stars were shining and they were reflecting off the ocean, only making them shine brighter.
He walked up next to her and his head started to spin.
She looked over at him, and asked, "You ok?" when she noticed he was a little pale.
"Yeah, fine, just a little dizzy, but you have that effect in me," he said, walking behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Really?" she smirked as she asked the question.
"Yeah," he said resting his head on her shoulder, "Before you I thought flying was a plane, doing a tailspin, but you gave all that new meaning, and new feeling."
She giggled, he kissed her neck, and the dizzy feeling he had before escalated.
Moments later he wasn't behind her anymore. When she turned to see where he went, she found him lying, passed out on the ground.
She clicked her radio. "Medical team to the east balcony, STAT!" she ordered, then bent down next to him, and ran her hand down his cheek. He felt like he was on fire.
Three hours later he woke up in the infirmary, with Elizabeth asleep in the chair next to his bed, her hand entwined with his.
He shifted slightly in the bed, but it was enough to jar Elizabeth awake.
"You're up," she said her face brightening at the sight of his open eyes.
"Yeah, sorry I didn't mean to wake you," he said brushing the back of his hand down her cheek.
"No, don't be. Let me go get Carson," she said going to stand up. He grasped her hand to stop her.
"What happened?" he asked looking up at her with puppy dog eyes.
"You have the flu. Apparently I didn't cause that dizzy feeling you had earlier. Your temperature was through the roof," she replied, smiling down at him.
"I beg to differ," a yawn caught up with him before he could finish his sentence.
"Rest, it is the best thing for you. I'm going to get Carson." She turned to leave.
"Elizabeth," he called out.
She turned back towards him.
"It was you," he said with a wink.
"Rest!" she ordered.
"Yes ma'am," he responded.
As she walked away, she let the smile she had been holding back shine through. She knew the exact feeling he was talking about. It was like falling upside down. She loved it.
