An Unread Message: From Father To Son
Disclaimer-Me no own, I made a story from a AMV that I watched. Go over to profile and you'll see a link for the AMV.
"Naruto, I found this in your father's vault," said the Hokage of Konaha. Sliding the letter across the table to her trainee. "I was researching your family to see if you had any, and I found this. Now I want for you to know, Sarutobi hid your heritage for a reason." She looked at Naruto to judge his expression.
Naruto just glanced at his grandmother-like figure through his lashes. He still had his spike-y hair, which looked even more wild, the wishers are still there but a bit faded-like a old photograph. Thankfully he toned down the orange to just a orange shirt, black jacket, the cursed necklace, standard shinobi pants, and steel-toed boots. His headband still in the usual spot. "So was my father like the leader of Akatsuki or sumthin?" he joked.
Tsunade shook her head. "Now Naruto, what I'm about to tell you is a SSS-ranked secret. Tell no one till you're the Hokage and I step down." she said in a serious voice.
"Your father was the fourth Hokage. Namikaze Minato. Since your father was such a powerful man as well feared by the Iwa-nins from the last Shinobi War. So when you were born he decided for you to have your mother's maiden name. Uzumaki."
"W-what was my mom's name?"
"Uzumaki Kushina from the Land of Whirlpools. Unforutanly since it was close to the Land of Waves, it got hit with a freak tsunami. Now scram. I have paper work to do." said Tsunade, tossing Naruto out of her office along with the letter.
Naruto went to his flat and started reading the letter in his bed.
I'm sorry-my son; Naruto.
That I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most. You were treated like dirt, and you were stared with hateful eyes. Because you were considered only a container of a beast instead of a hero who saved the village from complete destruction. You suffered a lonely and pain-filled childhood.
I should have been there, but I wasn't.
I will always be watching over you, my precious son. I was there the day you were born, you were there the day I died. We will always be together. Knowing that I won't be there to help you like a father would, it breaks my heart.
Listen to our sensei, and seek my former student-Hatake Kakashi. He will help you through it all.
Naruto stopped and there was a moment to remember Kakashi-sensei saying that he believed he could become the next Hokage. It was one of many moments to remember Kakashi-sensei of.
You have become a excellent shinobi, my son.
Always stick to your dreams. For it might come true.
You have a new life now. It is not filled with as much pain or suffering as before.
Again Naruto paused to glance at his photos. One of the Rookie Nins; Team Gai; Tsunade, Jiriya, Shizune and Tonton. Techui and Ayame. Anko and Ibiki; Team Sand, and of course the infamous photograph of hin and the Princess of Snow.
Even though I know you will never see this and will probably never be told the truth, I want you to know.
I love you.
And I miss you.
I will always protect you-my son.
The 4th Hokage, husband to Uzumaki Kushina from the Land of Whirlpools, ex-student of Jiriya of the Three Sannin, ex-sensei of Hatake Kakashi, Uchiha Obito, and Hizamaru Rin and last but not least;
Father to Namikaze Naruto.
Naruto put the letter down and glazed over at his shoulder to see the view that he had of the Hokage Mountain.
'Arigato. . .tou-san.' He thought.
