We, the Sparky Army, decree 2008 to be the Year of the Spark. We pledge to post a new sparky story or chapter of a sparky story every day from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. Though the Powers that Be have removed Elizabeth Weir from the regular cast of Stargate Atlantis, we feel that she remains an integral part of the show, and that the relationship between her and John Sheppard is too obvious to be ignored. We hope that you, and anyone might happen to read these works, agree.

And if that isn't official enough for you, we don't know what is. Seriously, guys, we're just trying to have some fun--and show TPTB that Sparky is the way to go. So sit back and enjoy the 366 stories coming your way!

a/n: quick little sparky drabble that came to mind. I know Elizabeth probably wouldn't have a tattoo, but hey anything is possible its stargate!

Nights Like This

John was restless. He always was before a mission. He glanced to his left to find his partner curled up, her back towards him. Slowly and quietly turning on his side to face her back, John used his index finger lightly to trace down her back and of the tattoo she had on her left shoulder blade. It was of a lizard climbing. John had asked her a number of times what it meant to her but as always her answer was that she was young and naive. When John questioned her why on her back her answer was, 'Because if I get sick of it I can't see it'. John chuckled lightly as he continued to trace it lightly. Elizabeth moved suddenly at his touch and rolled over to face him eyes open.

"Having fun there?" She whispered in the darkness.

"Sure am." John said moving his hand to stroke her face.

"Why aren't you sleeping you have a mission tomorrow?"

"Not sure, thinking too much. And I haven't got you in my arms?" John suggested raising his eyebrows in the darkness. Elizabeth giggled and moved into his arms.

"Sleep now." She said closing her eyes, her forehead resting against his.

"I think I can now." John said letting exhaustion take over him.

Short and sweet!
