This time, I can't go back. I've made my decision. Then why am I turning around? Why am I going back to the place I came from? I swore I wouldn't. No. Damn it. I can't do this. Stop. Stop running. Stop moving. Stop thinking.

That face flashed in front of me and my feet moved faster. The pink hair. The aqua eyes. The radiant smile.

I finally stopped, looking up at the gate that I onse lived on the other side of. I wondered what waited for me beyond it. I shook my head. Stop thinking. My feet moved me toward the gate, toward what awaited me.

I knew it wouldn't be a warm welcome, though I was sure no one knew I was here. I walked through the gate.

Laughter.

Her laughter.

I turned and followed the sound. There was something going on. She wasn't alone. I masked my chakra and hid, watching as the pink-haired kunoichi came into view. I shook my head and looked away.

"Thank you Naruto-kun, again. This was the best date so far," she spoke, I heard those words and almost lost it.

The blonde was grinning widely, "Anytime Sakura-chan," he said. He had matured greatly, no wonder she had chose him.

I had left, he was there for her.

Sakura was smiling, there was a sparkle in her eyes I hadn't seen in years, since our days as Team 7, but it was directed toward the blonde shinobi.

Naruto looked around, "Do you have a feeling we're being watched?" he asked the rosette.

Sakura nodded, "Yeah..." she said, almost a whisper. She hugged the medium-sized fox plushie in her arms closer to her body.

Naruto growled, "Come out, whoever's there," he called.

I shook my head, I couldn't face them. I couldn't come back and ruin their life. She was happy. She had moved on. It was Naruto, but she had moved on. I turned and ran out of Konoha, I couldn't take it. It could've been me, but I gave up that life for what? Power. I was stupid and power-hungry and I gave up a happy life for it.

"Hmmm..." Naruto murmured. "I guess whoever it was left..." he said, taking Sakura's hand.

Sakura smiled and nodded. "I guess so..."

After hearing her speak one last time, I was gone. I would never come back to this place. Ever.
