A/N Decided to do one in James' POV.

Today is suppose to be the happiest day of your life. The day you finally got to marry Lily Evans, the girl that you have loved since the moment you've first laid eyes on her that September day. You remember back to all those years you've spent trying to impress her, only to find out that hexing Severus wasn't exactly the best way to win the girl's heart. During your final year, you've realized that you needed to grow up. You weren't a child anymore. That is when Lily started to like you. You remember the joy you've felt when you first started dating.

You also remember the hurt you saw on your friend's face when you were with Lily. You knew of his feelings for her by the way that he looked at her, when he thought no one else was looking. You knew about the insecurities that your friend had, and how he always hid his true feelings behind with a smile. You start to feel like you are being selfish as you pass him, and saw the weak smile on his face. Knowing that although he was happy for you, his heart was breaking. Contrary to the popular belief of your classmates, you really aren't that arrogant. The truth is that you actually care a lot for your friend, and hate seeing him that way. And you can't help but wonder, how come you get to be so happy?
