Those Tedious Tasks

The sound of scraping and sloshing water echoed in the silent kitchen.

"Why do you have to cook without oil?"

"Because if I do, all of the food will be greasy."

"I'd rather that than having to get my lightsaber out to simply scrape off the burnt stuff."

Silence then a clang followed by a splash.

"That isn't clean, even by Tatooine bar standards, farmboy."

"Short of destroying it, I don't think it will ever be clean."

"Well, maybe you should do the cooking from now on!"

"Maybe I will, and maybe I'll use oil!"

"Then you'll have to roll around the battlefield."

"Not at all, I'll just do some sparring and burn it all up."

"That's what you're doing now by scraping it off. Burning up all your energy."

"Ahah! So you admit it has to be scraped off!"

"Why do you think I always get you to do the dishes?"

Silence broken only by a sound that sounded suspiciously like sloshing water.

"Too bad I'm burning up all my energy, huh?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you know. I did have something planned for you tonight, but I don't think I'll have the energy."

"Maybe this will give you the energy."

The clatter of falling cutlery sounded through the small kitchen. A surprised grunt that was definitely masculine.

"You know what, I think I just found a reserve."

"I thought you might. Is this what you planned."

"Yeah, but I planned it several times over."

A thud is heard...
