We, the Sparky Army, decree 2008 to be the Year of the Spark. We pledge to post a new sparky story or chapter of a sparky story every day from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. Though the Powers that Be have removed Elizabeth Weir from the regular cast of Stargate Atlantis, we feel that she remains an integral part of the show, and that the relationship between her and John Sheppard is too obvious to be ignored. We hope that you, and anyone might happen to read these works, agree.
And if that isn't official enough for you, we don't know what is. Seriously, guys, we're just trying to have some fun--and show TPTB that Sparky is the way to go. So sit back and enjoy the 366 stories coming your way!
A/N: Pure fluff. :) Hope you like it.
John almost hadn't heard the slight crackle of his earpiece as another blast hit the gate room. "Sheppard," he answered.
"John-," Elizabeth started.
"'Lizabeth, this is not a good moment, we have a situation here. I'll come back to you in a minute," he glanced down from the control room to the gate.
"Just a minute," another blast was coming through the gate.
"I did not carry your child for nine months for you to miss any part of the birth!" she almost yelled at him. "So bring your ass down to the infirmary immediately!"
Elizabeth was pissed, he could tell that. He knew he should do- wait…birth?! "Oh god," he just said.
"Exactly," his wife commented.
"I'll be there in a minute," John tapped his earpiece and noticed that the gate was shut down and sighed with relief as he saw that the team down there was complete. "Major," he turned to the control room.
"Yes, sir?" Lorne stepped forward to him.
"You get the city for the next few hours," he said and started to run off to the infirmary. He was running as fast as he could to the next transporter. He knew that it would be some hours until his child would be finally born but he didn't want to miss anything and he had to be with Elizabeth for the whole process.

He thought that he might let his hand being examined later. That woman had a strength he didn't know she possessed. He bit his lower lip and tried not to make a sound as Elizabeth was pushing his hand for a last time.
Then he heard the very first sound of his daughter as her light voice was filling the room and it made his heart beaten faster. He looked at Elizabeth and was first surprised as he saw her crying but then she gave him a faint smile, she was completely exhausted. He leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I'm very proud of you," he kissed her. "I love you."
"I hate to interrupt you but here is someone who desperately wants to see you," Carson said in his Scottish accent and Jennifer stepped forward and placed the child in Elizabeth's arms.
"Welcome little girl," Elizabeth said softly and stroked her finger over her daughter's cheek. John watched her closely as she made movements with her mouth and smiled. His feelings overwhelmed him and he felt his eyes becoming wet. He was now a father, the father of the wonderful girl in Elizabeth arms, so small and fragile it seemed like a miracle to him. His own little family, he thought.
