Kingdom of Lovers

By Dlynn

I'm sorry it's taking forever, but I'm in college, so hang in there for me. Okay readers, before you read this, you know it's a love triangle, right. Although the next chapters may make you a little P.O. but I promise you (to the all of the Edward fans), you won't be disappointed.

P.S. I proof read it really quick, so don't yell at me if it's bad.

Chapter XIII

Princess Isabella Swan:

It's been a few days since Edward rescued me from the secret tunnels, and I haven't seen him since. Was there something wrong with me? Why is he avoiding me?

After leaving all of my belongings behind, I had to have a new wardrobe. Rosalie brought in new dresses for me. It was a big adjustment for me.

In Forks, all my dresses were more covered up, but now in La Push, the dresses are more exposing than what I was use to wear. Most of my new dresses were revealing more of my shoulders and bosom. I felt more exposed and it made me uncomfortable.

Suddenly the doors opened and a woman with pixie-like qualities came in.

"Well Alice, you've finally shown your face. Have you met the new Princess?" Rosalie asked.

Alice, was this Edward's sister? I could see a little resemblance.

"My apologizes," the woman said to me as she curtsied, "I'm Alice Cullen Hale."

"Are you Edward's sister?" I asked her.

"Yes I am,"

"It's very nice to meet you," I held out my hand for her to shake it.

Alice took my hand, but all of a sudden, I felt a jolt of energy explode between us. Alice quietly gasped and then looked at me with her eyes wide open as if she figured out something.

"Is something wrong Miss Alice?" I asked her.

She let go of my hand and got control of herself, "No your highness, everything's fine."

I wasn't sure if she was telling the truth, but I thought it would be rude to interrogate her on our first meeting.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Rosalie went to see who it was.

It was Seth Clearwater, the page boy and Leah's brother. "I have a message from the Prince. He wishes to speak with the Princess in his chambers."

My stomach was in knots. Speak with him in his Chambers? "We better not keep your fiancé waiting," Rosalie said.

After putting on a better outfit that I was wearing before, I was being escorted by Seth to Jacob's chambers.

When I got to Jacob's room, Seth knock on the door.

"Come in," said Jacob behind the door.

Seth opened the door for me and I walked in. After I was in Jacob's room, Seth closed the door and I was alone with Jacob.

This was the first time we've been alone.

I noticed Jacob was sitting next to the large fireplace. He got up and walk over to kiss my hand, just like a gentleman. "You're looking beautiful today Bella."

"Thank you," I said timidly.

I could tell by his appearance and attitude that he would be a great King, but I'm still not sure if he's the perfect husband yet.

Jacob offered me to sit in the arm chair, right next to the fire place. As I sat down, he sat in the other one that was facing me.

"Are you getting acquainted with your new lifestyle here?"

"Yes, very much."

"I'm pleased that you are." I notice Jacob had an odd expression on his face.

"Is something wrong?" I asked him.

Jacob cleared his throat, "nothing's wrong, well…" I could tell he was trying to find the right words to say. "It's about the wedding,"

"The wedding?"

Jacob nodded, "yes, unfortunately Parliament is being stubborn and demands us to have a hand-fast marriage."

"A hand-fast marriage? What's that?"

"In our culture, a hand-fast marriage is only a one year marriage. We would only be married for one year."

"Okay, but I don't understand why Parliament would want us to have hand fast marriage. Are we to have one every year then?"

"No of course not, however Parliament isn't too fondly of your country."

"They don't trust me?"

Jacob nodded, "Sadly yes, but my father and I don't. Parliament is just a bunch of aristocratic pigs, they're being ridiculous." He assured me.

"It's only for one year, right?"

Jacob nodded.

"We could have the hand fast marriage and then a year later, we'll have a real wedding."

Jacob smiled, "I knew you would understand." He got up from his chair and stood in front of me.

I stood up after he did. Jacob was very tall.

Suddenly his hand cupped the side of my cheek.

I remained completely still.

"I know it's against protocol, but after seeing your beautiful lips. It's worth taking a risk." Jacob leaned in.

I closed my eyes and Jacob's lips touch mine.

I felt a shiver go up my spine.

This was my first kiss, and it's supposed to be with my fiancé, so why do I feel disappointed?

Sir Edward Cullen:

The last few days, I've kept myself away from everybody.

I mostly stayed in the tower of the library. It's where no one really uses and I feel at peace, although after dreaming of Bella every night, it became impossible to stop thinking about her. Even though I haven't seen Bella for a few days, I could still picture her perfectly.

After spending a few days to myself, it would be appropriate for everyone if I come out of hiding.

After I left the tower, I saw Alice standing at entrance of the library.

She looked like she was waiting for me. I could tell by that look on her face, that she was looking in my head and I didn't appreciate it.

"Hello Alice."

"Edward," I could tell she was serious.

"Had another unsatisfied premonition sister?" I asked.

"Very unsatisfying," she told me.

"Have you alerted your husband about it?" Jasper was the Military General for the king.

"I have told him about the Volturi ambush, but that's not the premonition I'm worried about."

I froze for a second, but I did my best to hide my discomfort. "Oh really, Alice."

"How well do you care about the princess?"

That question caught me off guard, but I quickly recovered. "I treat her with the proper respect as the future queen of this country." I told her.

Alice sighed, "Well then let's keep it that way. We need this alliance between La Push and Forks to fight against the Volturi."

"I know Alice," I felt defeated. "And sister, you know I love you dearly, but please stay out of my head."
