Hmm...My first Fruits Basket fan fiction is a drabble. And a 100-word drabble on top of that. I do love writing for this manga, it's really adorable. Of course, I haven't gotten my hands on volume 20 yet. I want to read it so much, though...

Anyway, I noticed that Hatori is always there when Akito gets angry - and then he has to take care of any injured Sohmas, and he erases memories if need be. Poor Hatori. Ugh, I don't even know where I'm going with this. It's a random thing collecting dust in my folder.

Disclaimer: I don't own Fruits Basket. Whoops...I was about to write Yu Yu Hakusho.

Akito was never one to fully realize that humans were so delicate.

Even now, Hatori reasoned, as he picked up the pieces of broken china that lay scattered on the floor – from where Akito had thrown it, no doubt – he was never one to really understand people besides himself.

A particularly large piece of glass embedded itself in his hand, and he whipped a cloth out of his pocket to clean up the blood. The wound, in time, would heal, but the scars would stay. It would never be as perfect as it once was, tainted in its own way.

Akiko would always be there to break things, and Hatori would always be there to silently clean up the aftermath, picking up the pieces.
