We, the Sparky Army, decree 2008 to be the Year of the Spark. We pledge to post a new sparky story or chapter of a sparky story every day from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. Though the Powers that Be have removed Elizabeth Weir from the regular cast of Stargate Atlantis, we feel that she remains an integral part of the show, and that the relationship between her and John Sheppard is too obvious to be ignored. We hope that you, and anyone might happen to read these works, agree.

And if that isn't official enough for you, we don't know what is. Seriously, guys, we're just trying to have some fun--and show TPTB that Sparky is the way to go. So sit back and enjoy the 366 stories coming your way!

Speechless

Elizabeth stared in shock at the activated ancient device in front of her. "That just confirmed it," she murmured to herself but Rodney who stood next to her had heard her.

"What? Is that all you've got to say? You just activated an ancient device, something you shouldn't even be able to do and that's all you say?" Rodney gestured wildly with his hands.

Elizabeth turned around to face Rodney's team members and looked into the surprised face of her husband who was struggling with himself to form any words.

"I think it is better if we go back and Carson takes a look at you," Teyla suggested but none of them were moving.

"You don't have the gene naturally and the gene therapy didn't work on you so it's completely impossible that you activated this device," Rodney said while he was pushing several buttons on the console.

"It's not," Elizabeth said smiling and looked down at her belly. The three men looked confused from Elizabeth to Teyla as she gasped and started to smile as well. John shared a look with Ronon but he just shrugged.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes and sighed. "John, you knew if I stop taking the birth control pills that something would happen," she watched how her husband was opening and closing his mouth in shock still unable to form a word before he closed his arms around her and swirled her around laughing.
