Born in 1920, Minerva Katherine McGonagall, had just graduated with brilliant marks from Hogwarts, when the war began. She became an Auror and fought for the good. After the end of the war, she started her Transfiguration studies in Egypt. Nicolas Flamel was one of her mentors. The young witch who had already succeeded in becoming an Animagus at the age of seventeen, soon became an expert in Transfiguration and left Egypt to teach in Cuba where she wrote her first book.
