Edward missed Bella so much, he could hear her voice as he flew over the ocean to Italy. What do you see?, Bella said in his mind. All he saw was her, jumping of the cliff to her death. Because of him. His throat felt dry. Bella's voice said, Bite me. To a vampire. "NO!" he cried audibly, and then remembered that the voice wasn't real. Bella was in no danger of becoming a vampire now. She was gone, where no one could harm her. The girl in the seat behind him leaned over.
"EDWARD?!" she asked. He turned. Of course, it was just another hallucination. But she wasn't leaving.
"Oh," he said to himself. "Well, I didn't have to do anything. The Volturi got me before I could do anything." He seemed indifferent, though really he was quite jubilant at being reunited with Bella. She, however, took a different view.
"Oh, crap. The airplane crashed! I never even said 'goodbye' to Charlie. Crap, crap, crap!" Alice stared at them.
"You guys do know that um…YOU'RE BOTH ALIVE?" Edward and Bella looked at her. Edward simpered.
"Oh, Alice, not you too. Did you go after me?" Alice groaned.
"Okay, how do I tell you this, um- YOU ARE BOTH ALIVE!" Edward seemed to ponder this, then, suddenly, he grabbed Bella and pulled her over the seat. He kissed her, and she kissed him back. Alice sighed happily and watched in her mind as they all returned to the Cullens' little white house.
