"Tony… you okay?"
Tony looked up, almost embarrassedly, to see Pepper staring at him in concern. He cleared his throat, rubbing an eye and straightening.
"Yeah. Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't I be?"
Pepper wasn't convinced. "I don't know. You tell me."
Tony shrugged, annoyed. "It's late. I'm going to bed."
Pepper watched him walk to his bedroom before quickly scurrying down the stairs to investigate. At first she saw nothing out of the normal. Then she turned away from the work area and caught a glimpse of a DVD case on the counter by the TV. Intrigued since Tony usually didn't have time for movies, she walked over and picked up the case.
"Chaplin," she murmured. "With… Robert Downey, Jr. Oo, yum. He's good looking."
"His acting is extraordinary in this one," Tony added, suddenly appearing at her shoulder. Pepper jumped, turning around to stare at him.
"I thought you were heading to bed."
"You kidding? I know you, Potts. Figured I'd catch you in the act of snooping." He nodded at the DVD case in her hand. Pepper glanced at it as well, bashful.
"Sir?" Tony smiled amusedly at her. "You should watch this, Potts. Good movie."
"I… don't have the time…"
Tony laughed shortly. "Neither do I. But it's worth it."
Pepper looked down at the DVD again. "Why did it affect you so much, Mr. Stark?"
Tony shrugged as he started to leave the room. "Never realized how similar Charlie Chaplin and I are."
