"Did you ever think we would've ended up like this?" I asked fixing his tie.
"Like what?" he asked.
"Oh I don't know me as your mother-in-law?" he laughed at how I said this word with disgust. How would you feel if you were a mother-in-law to a person that is your age?
"Oh that. No way in hell! I am fairly sane." He replied.
"Fairly being the key word. But I get that you would've had to been crazy to predict this." I said with a smile so he would know I was joking.
"Yeah no one could've guessed that not only could vampires have kids but that I would imprint on the kid that is the daughter of my best friend and part lee..." he started to say but didn't get to finish.
"Don't you dare even think about finishing that if you want…" Nessie also got caught off by Edward.
"Nessie I beg you please do not finish that threat out loud. It was bad enough having to hear it in your mind once."
"I really think you misunderstood me. What I was going to say was if he wants me to keep calling him Jake and not dog." She replied innocently.
Everyone within hearing distance was laughing.
"Fine part vampire. Better?" he asked to Nessie who was downstairs getting ready as well.
"Much thank you." she laughed.
"So what do you think?" I asked as I turned him around to face the mirrior. He had called me in here when he was having difficulty with his tie.
"I think it's great thanks Bells." He said hugging me.
"Alright get off you're going to make me stink." I said with a smile.
"I don't think that you could anymore than you already do." He replied back.
"Come on let's go downstairs I think by now everyone is ready." I said.
We made our way downstairs and I went right over to Edward.
"Are you sure we have to go?" I asked laughing knowing that I would not mis this for the world.
"It is a very important moment in our daughters life." Edward smiled down at me.
"Fine. But wasn't once enough?" I said.
"No mom you can not skip out on this. It's your prom too." She said from where she stood in Jacob's arms, a smile on her face.
"Alright then let's go get this over with." I said with a fake sigh and frown as we walked outside to the cars. Everyone else was already waiting.
