Kaname glanced out his window at the Day Class Students. They were all carrying wrapped presents. He flipped through his calendar, it's December 20. Christmas is 5 days away. Kaname smiled, why would anyone want to celebrate such a stupid human holiday? The day where all you do is eat turkey and open presents, it's really pointless...
"Kaname-kun!" Yuki yelled.
A young boy, him, looked up from his presents.
Yuki handed him a small box.
"Open it." She smiled. Her child-like grin filled his heart with warmth; something a vampire rarely felt.
Kaname cautiously opened the box, inside was a piece of candy. A mint.
"Thank you, Yuki." Kaname said.
Yuki once again smiled, and skipped out the door, running to open presents of her own.
Kaname laughed at the distant memory. It was so long ago. When Yuki and him were merely children. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.
"Come in." He said.
Yuki came through the door, she was holding a plate of food.
"For you." She placed it on his desk.
The delicious aroma filled his nostrils...
"Kaname! Come eat your turkey." Kaien Cross shouted from downstairs.
"Coming." He ran down the stairs. A gigantic turkey was on the kitchen table.
"Here you go." Young Yuki gave him a piece of turkey.
He took a bite. The juiciness filled his mouth.
Yuki took a piece for herself.
"Do you like it? I help daddy make it."
He put down his turkey, and gave Yuki a hug.
"Kaname-senpei!" Yuki's voice filled his ears.
"Huh?" Kaname snapped back into reality.
"You're drooling." Yuki giggled.
He wiped his mouth with his sleeve.
"I came here to ask you if you want to come to the Christmas dance with me."
He watched as Kaien teach his daughter how to dance.
"Put your feet on my feet." Kaien instructed, kindly.
Yuki did so, and within minutes, they were soaring around the living room.
"Kaname, please join us."
The snow continues to fall outside.
"Well... will you come with me?" Yuki asks eagerly.
"I'd love to."
"I love you." Yuki wrapped her arms around Kaname's waist.
"I love you too."
The girls were dressed in beautiful dresses.
Yuki's feet were on top of his own, and they were soaring around the decorated ball room.
"You look beautiful tonight." He whispered in Yuki's ear.
Yuki smiled, and the soft background music filled his ears.
The radio was playing Christmas songs.
Yuki was quietly humming along.
She saw Kaname walk into the room
"Want to sing this one with me?'
Kaname sat next to her.
Soon, they were singing each song loudly.
"We wish you a Merry Christmas."
Kaname smiled. He now understood why humans celebrate Christmas. It's the most happiness most joyous day of the year. He reached inside his pocket, inside, was the mint which Yuki gave him many years ago.
