A/N: Check out Colin Raye's "Love Me" if you want the song that goes with this one. But I warn you, it's a very sad song.

Standard issue weapons
Autographed copy of Icha Icha Tactics (with the request he remember the number 106) in back weapons pouch.
The following note, tucked in the inner breast pocket of his vest:

If you're reading this, you're early, for once. I should probably be surprised, but obviously I'm not. If I hadn't expected you to get here first, I wouldn't have left you this note. Stupid geniuses always take short cuts, I know this well from teaching.

As you may have guessed, I'm going to be late. I have some things to take care of here still. I love you more than anything, but I love other things too and I have responsibilities that need to be taken care of. Academy students that need tutoring, and surprise shifts at the mission desk being just part of it.

You know how Konohamaru can be.

I don't know how long it's going to take. I'll go as fast as I can, but some things don't depend on just me.

But I'm coming, I promise. As soon as I can, I'll be right behind you. Please don't leave yet. I don't know how long you'll have to wait, but I'll be there. Please, don't give up on me. If you're not there when I get there, and you're supposed to be, I will not be responsible for what I do. It would hurt too much.

And just in case you forget, as you seem to always do; don't forget that now when you're reading this, when I finally get there, and all the moments before and after that I'll be loving you.

There is a current investigation to find 'Me', but so far there has been no success.
