Jealousy

Jealous.

That was the word.

Clary was jealous.

Jealous of how Simon and Maia had overcome being vampire and werewolf, how they were so natural, so…together.

Simon and Maia were always touching without thinking about it-their feet touching while they sat on the couch, their arms slightly bumping while they walked next to each other, their lips meeting briefly as they said hello or goodbye to each other.

Jealous.

Clary was jealous.

She wanted to be like that with Jace. To be able to overcome being brother and sister, just as Simon and Maia had over come being vampire and werewolf.

Sure, it was impossible. But that didn't make Clary want it any less.

(A/N: I'm not sure how much I like this one. I just remember reading (I think in the first chapter of City of Glass) that Clary was jealous of Simon spending so much time with Maia. I figure Clary had to have a good reason, and here it is! Reviews are love! PS: as soon as I think of a good story idea, I am planning to write something longer than a drabble for Mortal Instruments.)
