I said i might re-do it, and i did. I am currently shocked at my lack of laziness.

Mightier than the Sword (Revised)

"What on earth are you doing, Mudblood?"

Cue Hermione's twitching eyebrow.

"Well, let's see", she answers, "What does it look like I'm doing, you slimy little ferret? I only have a quill and parchment!" Hermione feigns wonder as she looks down at her work, "Oh my! When I dip my quill in ink, and put it on the page, a magical thing happens! A magical thing called writi-"

"I get the point, Granger." Draco snaps, "I was merely asking why you decided to waste your time writing of all bloody things."

"It's for the debate McGonagall wants us to prepare." Hermione seethes along with a glare, "About putting charms on the bathrooms so the opposite gender can't enter, remember? The one due tomorrow?"

Draco shrugs nonchantly.

"I'll just make it up." He dismisses.

"Oh yes!" Hermione retorts sarcastically, "It's obvious how much effort you put into your work!"

Draco sneers; "How dare you suggest I even try! Filthy Mudblood!"

"Besides," he continues, "I find the direct approach is much more effective. All action, on the spot. That's the best way to debate."

"Ever heard of the saying, 'The Pen is Mightier than the Sword', Malfoy?" Comes Hermione's weary reply.

Hermione once again glares at him.

"It was a rhetorical question, Malfoy. Violence isn't always the answer."

"It was a load of bloody rubbish!" he puts on a high pitched whine, mimicking her words, "The pen is mightier than the sword!'" Scoffing, he adds, "Don't tell me you're relaying more of that pathetic muggle mumbo-jumbo to me, Granger. Give me a sword any day." He shakes his head, looking disgusted, "The pen is mightier than the sword…pathetic mudblo-"

Later that day, Draco Malfoy was found in the hospital wing, with several deep stab wounds to critical (and embarrassing) areas. He has the scars to this day.

Moral of Story: Violence isn't always the answer, but it sure does work. Why choose a sword when the pen can write and draw blood?

other version is probably better. but i'm just putting it out there. R&R
