A/N: This is Misao. I just missed Hiei and Kurama. Finally something that's longer than a paragraph for these two! Just in case you were wondering, this story had a different name for about twelve hours but the story decided that it didn't like the name I gave it and demanded that I change it back. I did what it said.

Soft silken lips whispered over slick skin sending a shiver of pleasure up the hiyoukai's spine. Long pianist's fingers traced down his side mapping every contour of his body for later use. Hiei tangled his fingers in the already matted red hair of his lover. With his other hand the petite fire demon massaged his kitsune's side until he heard a soft moan. Kurama trailed light kisses up the shorter demon's stomach and chest with a satisfied smile planted firmly on his lips. Hiei crooked a finger under the fox's chin to pull those smiling lips up to his own. Their kiss was tender. Kurama moved up to have a better grasp on his lover as he deepened the kiss to a whole new level. The pair parted with a sigh of content.

Hiei rolled over onto his side and stared deep into the emerald eyes of his partner. He felt a soft smile work its way onto his mouth. "Is what it's like?" he asked curiously.

"What what's like?" Kurama replied stroking the silky black hair that stretched out on the pillows above them.

"Love," the hiyoukai stated simply. "Is this what love is like?" The kitsune laughed softly to himself.

"I don't think I know what you mean. Can you explain it to me a little better?" The corners of the fire demon's mouth turned down into the smallest of frowns.

"I- I don't know if I can. I don't know how to describe it," he said as he began to mindlessly rub a circle out on the fox's bare stomach with his thumb.

"Try," Kurama encouraged. "I want to know what you're thinking." Hiei's lips turned down into an adorable pout as he tried to sort through his emotions. The sight of the fire demon so confused made Kurama grin like, well, a fox.

"I've never felt this way," Hiei said as he concentrated on a spot just over his lover's head. "I've had lovers before but it's never felt like this before. Not like it does with you." The kitsune couldn't suppress a small chuckle.

"Hiei, that could be because I have had a lot of practice at this," he smirked. The smaller demon shook his head.

"No, it's not that. Well, that's part of it but that's not what I mean. It just feels different when I'm with you. Especially afterwards," he said furrowing his eyebrows.

"Go on," the fox said twirling a strand of black hair between his forefinger and thumb. He was really interested in what Hiei was trying to say.

"Usually, it's just sex, absolutely meaningless who the partner is as long as the deed is done," the fire demon said bluntly. "But when I'm with you…" he trailed off. He searched deep within the green eyes that stared back at him for the words to describe this feeling that welled up from inside his chest. "When I'm with you it's different. Afterwards I look into your eyes and it's perfect there. I feel like there is nothing else I could possibly want as long as I'm with you. After we have sex- after we make love," he corrected with a shake of his head. "I never want to leave," he explained in a rushed whisper.

Kurama dropped the piece of hair between his fingers and leaned in closer to the man beside him. He placed a gentle kiss on the hiyoukai's ear. "I don't know about for you but for me that's exactly what love is."
