Close Encounter

: I don't own "Supernatural", sadly, but the boys are such a treat to play with…

A/N: My gratitude goes out to my awesome beta twinchaosblade who makes sense of my stuff, even if I don't.

A/N 2: Response to the Drabble Challenge by Enkidu07 and Onyx Moonbeam

All fellow players can be looked up on Enkidu07's profile page (the many, many names finally exceeded the drabble word count, hehe).

A/N 3: Sorry deangirl1, I didn't find the time to write a second drabble this weekend. I'll use your extra prompt word in the next one, promised.

Prompt: Thermometer

Always with his baby brother in tow, even when the thermometer displayed well beyond sub-zero, Dean earned some extra money taking out newspapers. It wasn't paying the bills but it sure added some sweets to the meals.

They were about finished with their route when a bunch of older kids on bikes started following them. Dean knew that kind - all brawns, no brains… He wasn't worried though. Even at fourteen, he was well capable of holding his own.

The bullies finally engaged merely one block away from their motel. Dean sent Sammy home then. He himself stayed to fight.

The End
