Author's Note: This is a what if story. What if Josh did not die and also wasn't turned by Mick.

He pressed again on Josh's chest as he watched as Beth performed CPR on him. He wanted Josh to live and not die. He loved Beth, but he wasn't selfish to wish that Josh was dead, so he could be with her.

"Come on, Josh breathe." He pressed a couple of more times. He listened as the ambulance sirens came closer and closer. Suddenly Josh took a breath and started breathing on his own. He watched as the ambulance driver and his partner step out of the ambulance and walk towards them.

"He stopped breathing for a couple of minutes and finally began breathing once again a few minutes ago." Mick St. John told the workers.

The man nodded and went to work on Josh. They loaded Josh into the vehicle and Beth went with them. He watched as the ambulance pulled away and then he looked at his hands. They were covered in blood and he was hungry. It didn't help that the sun was making him weak and hungry. He got one of the police to drive him home.

Walking into his apartment he quickly made his way to the blood that he had behind the steel door. After that he lit the fire and stared into it. He wondered how Josh and Beth were doing. He hoped that Josh was okay and would recover soon. The phone rang.

"They said that you did a great job at patching him up. If you hadn't of done that then he might have not lived. He's going to make it."

"I'm glad that he's going to make it Beth. I'm happy for you."

"Thank you for helping Josh and Me."

"You're Welcome Beth." Mick said. There was nothing that he wouldn't do for Beth except to turn her, or Josh into what he was.

"I have to go back to Josh." Beth replied.

"Goodbye Beth." He said as he hung up.

He was genuinely happy for Beth. He wished her a happy and long life with Josh. She deserved it after what she went through as a child. He would still keep an eye on her to make sure she was safe.

The End
