"It's pink."

Dora looked up blearily.

"Hmmm?"

Remus stroked the lock of hair in his hand.

"It's pink again."

Dora squinted in the gloom at the strand of hair he had between his fingers.

"So it is," she said. She rolled over, and settled into his arms.

Remus placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Do you ever regret marrying me?" he asked.

Dora frowned.

"Remus, we've talked about this."

"I don't want to start another argument, I just want to know." He sighed. "I can't imagine how you talked me into this. I'm too old for you; I have no money; and to top it all off, I'm dangerous."

"I don't care about any of those things," Dora said firmly. "And you can't talk me out of it. So there."

Remus smiled.

"I love you, you know that?"

Dora looked down at the plain gold band that looped around the third finger of her right hand.

"You know, I think I might."

Remus held her securely, his fingers in her hair again.

"I love it when it's pink," he said contemplatively. "The pink was gone for a while there."

"I guess I've been feeling pink lately," Dora answered, smiling.

Author's Note: So I've just decided that Remus/Tonks is my favorite Harry Potter pairing after reading Shifts and Shades by FernWithy. Totally amazing stories centered around what Remus, Tonks, and Sirius did during Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. I hated how they had to die in Deathly Hallows, so I wanted them to be happy, at least for a brief time.
