The Simpsons was on.
That wasn't unusual on a Saturday afternoon in Sam Carter's house though. They'd all gotten back to Earth after Cam's 200th trip party and Sam was now curled up watching The Simpsons on her sofa with Jack.
She sighed contentedly and snuggled further into his side; she had been surprised to see Jack turn up at the SGC, but it had been a good surprise. He loved going off-world and Cam's 200th party had been the perfect excuse. Sam smiled to herself, they'd had a good time off-world and then they'd managed to escape home to pizza, beer and The Simpsons. She looked up at Jack, as her fingers twined with his.
"I'm glad you're here, I miss you when you're in Washington."
Jack looked down at the woman curled into his side and smiled softly.
"Yeah, it was good I was - sent - to Malibu."
Sam snorted and hid her face in his sleeve, before looking back at him.
"I can't believe you said that. Of all the lines you could have come up with to explain you coming, it was awful."
Jack smiled. "Yes, well, next time I'll leave the genius thinking to you," he said, kissing the top of her head. "What do you want me to say next time? Plans for a new Moonbase?"
