I smiled when I heard the familiar sound of Daichi's voice. I turned to find him leaning against an old oak tree. He had that playful look on his face that I loved so much.
"Hello!" I greeted him cheerfully.
"Anything in particular you would like to do today?" he asked.
The morning sun was beating down on our backs, its light reflecting in Daichi's eyes. I've always loved mornings because they glisten with the eagerness of a new day.
"Well, I was thinking that we could head down to Fujita Diner and-"
He cut me off with the sweetest, softest kiss he's ever given me. I couldn't help but blush.
"Nope," he said brightly, pulling away. "Try again,"
"Um…well….um…" I stuttered. "We could-"
He cut me off again with a kiss. I pushed him away playfully and pretended to glare at him.
"You didn't even let me say anything!" I complained, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Oops," he said cheerily.
I turned all of the muscles in my face downward and tried to look mad. Definitely not easy with Daichi standing over me with his little half smile. I focused on a bumblebee buzzing lazily in the distance but it did no good. My frown disappeared and in less than a second I collapsed on the soft grass in laughter.
"You okay there?" Daichi asked.
I opened my eyes to find him leaning over me looking like he was about to erupt into laughter himself.
"Mmm…hmm…" I tried to say in between giggles.
"So anyway, do you want to hear what I had planned for today?"
I sighed heavily. "Fine, I give in. What do you want to do?"
"This," he whispered.
The last thing I saw was his eyes shining above me and he kissed me. I grabbed the back of his head and pulled him onto the grass with me. He pulled away, surprised. I just smiled at him.
"Much better!" I whispered cheerfully.
All I had to do was tilt my head and we were kissing again. It was only just before noon, too. I smiled into his lips when I thought about how much fun we would have during the rest of the day.
AN: Cute huh? Not my best and way too short for my liking but I thought I'd post it anyway. Reviews are greatly appreciated. =)
